Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account data. When you create a Purori account, we collect your email address and, if you use Apple Sign-In, your Apple-provided user identifier. We use this to authenticate you and manage your account.

Pattern data. When you import a knitting or crochet pattern, the text content is sent to our servers for AI-powered parsing. Parsed results are stored on our servers and associated with your account so you can access them across devices.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events (feature usage, crash data, performance metrics). These events are not linked to your identity and are used solely to improve the app. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Subscription data. If you subscribe to Purori Pro, Apple processes the payment. We receive a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.

Push notification tokens. If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to send you notifications when pattern parsing is complete.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Purori service

• To improve app performance and fix bugs via anonymous analytics

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Railway. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Database connections require TLS in production. We retain parsed patterns and account data as long as your account is active. Parse job data is automatically deleted after 7 days.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini / Anthropic Claude: Pattern text is sent to AI providers for parsing. These providers process the text per their respective privacy policies and do not retain your data for training.
• PostHog: Anonymous usage analytics and error tracking.
• Resend: Transactional emails (verification, password reset).
• Apple: Sign-In with Apple, StoreKit subscription management, push notifications.

5. Your Rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the Purori app. This permanently removes your account, all stored patterns, and associated data from our servers. You can also request data export or deletion by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

Purori is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
